Height adjustment is as easy as loosening the screw on top of the 6711's spring cam assembly, moving the beater where you want it, then locking it back into place. A durable steel rock stabilizer plate with spring-loaded spurs keeps your kick firmly in place (according to Gibraltar, the spurs also make an effective weapon - at Sweetwater, we don't encourage or endorse this practice).
